Davido is on a roll. His serendipitous rise in North America is nothing like we’ve ever witnessed in the Nigerian Music industry as each passing week records a milestone for the Fall singer.
Davido has emerged the biggest winner on this week’s “Emerging Artists Chart” on Billboard, moving nine places up the chart to attain an impressive peak at the top 30.
Billboard’s Emerging Artists Chart is responsible for tracking music discovery, basically the most shared songs from up-and-coming artists in the US. This is peculiar to artists who have not appeared as a lead artist in the top 50 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
Last week, the singer was on the 37th position of the chart. And has however progressed to the 28th position, six weeks after his debut on the chart.
The possibilty of Davido becoming a force to reckon with in the US thickens every second. We’re optimistic that the release of Fall remix and his forthcoming Sophomore album will see him get fully inducted into the US market.
