Davido appeared on the most recent episode of Ebro Darden’s Beats 1 Apple show. In the snippet released, he points out the distinction between Afrobeats and Afro Fusion (what he does).
“I don’t call my [music] Afrobeats, I call it Afrofusion…. You know the originator of the Afrobeats is Fela. Fela has a sound which I can say has heavy baseline, the Rhodes, brass instrument, [and] the percussion is different.”
