D’Banj Makes A Comeback With Tiwa Savage on Shake It

Kokomaster D’Banj has been sitting the edge of new music for a while now, held back by a variety of factors including a tragedy that shook the very foundation of his family. Today, the Afrobeat sensei lets go and lets loose a barrage of percolated bass rhythms; a sound that served as a gateway to his success as an award winning artiste and had us hooked since his early beginnings in Mo’Hits Records when he controlled our sound waves with tracks like Tongolo, Mobolowowon, Why Me among others in a track titled Shake It for which he lends the sensuous quality of Tiwa Savage’s vocals.

Although the sound has aged well and is still well appreciated because of its crowd controlling feature, its no longer brand new and interesting as a result of this Shake It only serves as an anticipated comeback and even with Tiwa Savage’s vocal input, it is likely to not go down as a hit.

All in all, we’re glad the Kokomaster is back and hope for more offerings from him and if not far fetched, a return of the Harmonica.
