We all assumed the days of D’Banj releasing records with international appeal in mind were gone and even more, the days of D’Banj albums. The Kokomaster on the other hand has other plans and has brought the public into the fold of recent with the announcement of a new album tagged King Don Come which features Gucci Mane, Bucci, Wande Coal and more.
The album which was pushed back from its initial July 7th release date is now due to be released today and ahead of the body of work, the Kokomaster shares the video for El Chapo, a cross-continental collaboration with Wande Coal and Gucci Mane. In the video which should definitely bring reminders of Tony Montana with Naeto C, we witness guns and models while D’Banj, Gucci and Wande render lines likening themselves to Mexican drug lord, Joaquin El Chapo Guzman.
Could the video for this record be the reason we had to wait an extra 6 weeks for King Don Come? We’ll probably never find out.
