Def Jam Africa Artiste, Kido Madiba Debuts New Single ‘Absence’

Newly signed Def Jam Africa artiste, Kido Madiba debuts new single Absence. Kido Madiba meaning “little Madiba” derived this moniker from the late global Icon Nelson Mandela because they are birthday twins.

Absence is a sweet-sounding bouncy tune about a love interest who is distant from her lover. In his smooth vocals, Kido expresses his uncertainty on if he has found true love and craves her presence. The captivating hook of the tune will see his fans singing along. 

Absence is a great introduction to who Kido Madiba is and we are going to see more of this soulful versatile artiste. On what his latest offering is about, Madiba says “Absence is a reflection on a past relationship. I had just relocated to Lagos from Abuja, Nigeria. I think it was the next morning, we were on the phone for hours talking and after the call. The first 3 lines just hit me and here we are. Just a lonely boy in a new environment missing his girlfriend”.
