Back in 2015, MI Abaga ascended the throne of presidency at the Choc Boi Nation camp following 10 years under the leadership of Audu Maikori. Ice Prince also rose and became the new Vice President of the record label that looked to be on the cusp of greatness. Its roster featured a host of acts looking to establish themselves and many felt MI would steer the ship in the right direction. Since then however, the record label has barely achieved anything expected and out of the blue came the announcement that DJ Lambo was taking over as President.

Lambo who started out as an OAP has slowly evolved and become a DJ for live shows including Big Brother Nigeria will now be tasked with recovering the label that has struggled to meet any of the expectations set by the public when Audu was transitioned out of power.
It is definitely great seeing a woman at the helm of leadership of what many still believe to be one of Nigeria’s top record labels.
