In the fall of 2018, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid were central to some of the biggest conversations about Afropop with the sexually charged video for the latter’s comeback single, Fever. The release of the video inspired several theories stemming from their onset chemistry and not being one to shy away from trends – cue his poor rendition of Kizz Daniel’s Fvck You Challenge – DJ Spinall, who recently made a record with his Glastonbury Festival performance, taps the duo for his first post-album single, Dis Love.
Kitted with Spellz’s rhythmic keys, chords and snares, the duo of Tiwa Savage and Wizkid deliver mid-tempo verses that allude to their feelings for each other. Reminiscent of the excellent delivery on Ma Lo, Dis Love while it builds on their excellent chemistry is a standalone single headed for the top of charts.
In the accompanying sexually charged video directed by Meji Alabi, the trio along with several scene extras project their steamy narrative.
