DJ Spinall’s fifth studio album, Grace, arrived to much anticipation and acclaim, with fan-favorite and album standout, Sere, paving the way to its peak. Recognizing the strength and value the single wields, they gun for international exposure by tapping Atlanta native and rapper, 6lack on a rich remix to the summery single.
As much as it presents as a resurrection of the single, the remix, powered by 6lack’s laudable utilization of Kel P’s pulsating percussions is a spark that sets off a flood of tropic vibes, even stronger than what we initially felt on the original song.
Noteworthy is 6lack and Fireboy DML’s harmonization over the synthesized saxophones which pushes Sere‘s depth. This collaboration is not misplaced and in fact, is among the necessary few we’ve gotten in recent times, this speaks to Spinall’s ear for great music.
