DJ Spinall & Olamide’s Gimme Love video is typical and underwhelming.

Gimme Love marks Spinall’s second 2017 offering after delivering Olowo which featured Davido and Wande Coal. The Smirnoff ambassador is currently on tour in the US after a South African leg and shall close by taking to seven cities in the UK in May. This has however not stopped him from uniting with Milli’s dad on Gimme Love. After the release of yet another album in December, Olamide has put out videos for tracks like Pepper Dem Gang and Letter to Milli and offered vocals to the likes of Chief Obi and Boj in a relatively quiet but relevance-maintaining first quarter.

On the Pheelz-produced love track, Olamide is backed by a range of instruments and confesses his love for his lady’s presence while DJ Spinall’s vocals finally come in on the outro of a track that will instantly remind you of Ed Sheeran’s Give Me Love. The Matt Max-directed video however is underwhelming and does the decent track which will is less than likely to register on the charts no justice. For it’s entirety we see Olamide and Spinall in a club or house either sitting or standing with dancers in the background. The video falls flat and offers no storytelling that could actually have been reflected from the track.
