D’Tunes and Teni Team Up On a Pair of New Singles, ‘Kolesi’ and ‘Simbobo’

Making the jump from Instagram comedian to recording artist, Teni has shaken up the scene. Her single, Askamaya is easily in the contention for the best songs of 2018 and by some indications, song of the summer. Since her emergence in 2017, she has worked with the likes of Shizzi, D’Tunes and Davido to name a few. Speaking on working with Teni at Boj’s album launch party in 2017, D’Tunes revealed that he and Teni had recorded four songs in a day but suggested they’d come much later to allow other songs get the push they needed. Yesterday, D’Tunes and Teni finally let two of those records, Kolesi and Simbobo fly. While neither of these two singles are as good as either artist’s previous work, they’ll still get some spins. Kolesi the better release, is a love story that sees Teni take matters into her own hands while a lover seems to be slacking.
