D’Tunes has been living the dream of widening his artistry by walking on the very thin line that separates producing and singing this year. While a good number of his colleagues have walked this line and quite frankly fallen off along the way, the award winning Producer signed to Difference Entertainment with a slew of hit singles to his name has proven this year, he has a solid grip on his transition.
He strengthens his track record with a new single titled Chika Bonita (spanish for Beautiful Girl) for which he enlists budding artistes; Terri of Starboy and Mystro; whose hit single, Immediately is traversing international waters. The combination of both young artists which is neither a hit or miss, finds them working D’tunes’s fast paced eclectic mix of snares, gongs, pipey synths and background calls with loose lyrics alluding a fondness for their ‘Chika Bonitas’.
While this doesn’t quite surpass his collaboration with Teni and Mayorkun, D’tunes still seems to be on the right track, soundwise and we’re hopeful for better offerings.
