Hosted by Abimbola Craig, the eight-episode debut season taps StyleInfidel, TheKitchenMuse, Ibidunni Damilola and more.
Nigeria’s long-form video scene has a new entrant. Atlas 777 Media, a new Nigeria-based production company, has announced Dumb It Down: The Clarity Lab, its eight-episode debut show, hosted by filmmaker and development executive Abimbola Craig, joining a wave of long-form, conversation-led video content reshaping how Nigerian audiences spend their scroll time.
The format leans into something the algorithm has already figured out: watching someone genuinely good at their job explain it, in their own words, is compelling television. It’s a natural next step for Abimbola Craig, who has spent recent years working at the intersection of entertainment and digital platforms — in 2022, she conceptualised and helped build FirstBank’s digital content platform BluuvTV, developing its original programming from the ground up. Several of Season One’s guests are established online voices in their own right, which makes Dumb It Down less a traditional talk show than a crossover between two audiences — Abimbola’s, built over a decade on screen, and her guests’, built one post, reel and recipe at a time.
“What drew me to Dumb It Down was the opportunity to have thoughtful, meaningful conversations with the people building and shaping some of Nigeria’s most interesting industries. I wanted us to go beyond the job titles and success stories, to understand their journeys, the decisions they made, the challenges they faced and the thinking behind what they’ve built. Most importantly, I want viewers, especially younger people, to see that these paths are not as distant or unattainable as they may seem. There’s a lot we can learn from the people doing remarkable things around us, and Dumb It Down is about making those lessons accessible, relatable and real.”
— Abimbola Craig, Host, Dumb It Down: The Clarity Lab
Season One’s lineup includes StyleInfidel (Tosin Ogundadegbe), fashion stylist and creative consultant; Bukie Akinmade, food content creator and founder of TheKitchenMuse; Ibidunni Damilola, filmmaker and storyteller; Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, founder and CEO of Zapphaire Events, and one of the pioneers of Nigeria’s modern event-planning industry; Bukola Bankole, partner at TNP, where she leads the firm’s Private Equity and Corporate Finance practice; Ife Durosinmi-Etti, founder and CEO of Herconomy, Nigeria’s first fintech platform for women; Toyosi Adeyemo, founder of The Plush Apartments, The Plush Real Estate and more; and Dimeji Timothy, country manager at InDrive Nigeria.
“There are so many industries and ideas that shape everyday life, yet we rarely get to understand what really happens behind the scenes. Dumb It Down was created to change that. We want to take the things that seem complicated from the outside, ask the questions people are often too afraid or too busy to ask, and have honest conversations with the people who actually know how these worlds work. The goal isn’t to dumb anything down, it’s to make knowledge clearer, more relatable and accessible, while still respecting the complexity behind it.”

Dumb It Down premiered on the 28th of August 2026 on YouTube and Spotify, with new episodes releasing every Friday at 6 PM.
