The haunting psychological thriller Baby Farm finally arrives today, March 21, 2025, on Netflix. The film’s simultaneous release on the global platform is a watershed moment for its creators, who have journeyed from production in 2024 to worldwide distribution.
Helmed by acclaimed executive producer Mo Abudu of Ebony Life and visionary director Kayode Kasum, this limited series plunges viewers into a psychological labyrinth where parental desperation collides with exploitation. At its heart stands a vulnerable young expectant mother (played by Onyinye Odokoro) who, seeking assistance from what appears to be a benevolent NGO, unwittingly becomes ensnared in a horrifying reality. The organization turns out to be a clandestine facility where pregnant women are imprisoned in a sinister enterprise known as a baby farm.
Baby Farm is anchored by a stellar cast including Rita Dominic, Joseph Benjamin, Langley Kirkwood, Genoveva Umeh, and Jenny Stead, each contributing depth to the narrative. The film confronts a disturbing societal issue with human consequences. This approach to socially relevant storytelling has become the signature of its creators, who previously delivered thought-provoking narratives in acclaimed productions like Oloture: The Journey and A Sunday Affair.
The complete limited series is now streaming exclusively on Netflix, inviting global audiences to engage with its examination of exploitation and the pursuit of parenthood.
