There has been no stopping Nigerian musicians since they locked onto the profitability of social media spurn challenges. Ecool, DMW’s DJ turned Singer is the latest in the Nigerian music ecosystem to hop on the challenge-driven challenge with an open verse titled Knock.
Considering Ecool’s musical history and his lack of conventionality, the Oshow Beatz produced Knock, like his previous releases is an off-kilter mix of jazz and bass that leans further away from his narrative as the song progresses.
Despite a lack of alignment between Ecool’s performance and it’s instrumental, the mid-tempo Knock is a potential fan favorite that speaks to his gradual evolution.
