There’s been a ton of whistle-blowing going on and the latest tip EFCC received led them to an Ikoyi apartment which is now being reported by Sahara Reporters to be one of the properties of former PDP leader, Adamu Muazu where EFCC operatives found $43.4m, N23.2m & £27,800.

EFCC was tipped after the whistle blower saw what they believed to be suspicious movement of bags in an apartment in the building. On arriving at the residence with a magisterial court order, the EFCC gained access into the apartment where the hefty sums of money were located in cabinets and bags in two of the four rooms in the apartment.

The apartment in question was a 7th floor penthouse in a building whose other residents of the house are former Chief of Air Staff, Adesola Amosu,  Godwin Obla, a lawyer and former EFCC prosecutor and Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, a former Managing Director at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) who are also involved in their fair share of issues with corruption at the moment with Obla being recently arrested in connection with corruption in the judicial sector and Ogbue being one of NNPC’s senior officials recently dismissed in relation to corruption on an Ifeanyi Uba oil scandal.

Reports from Sahara Reporters have further claimed that the money found was owned by Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue.
