Posted on

In the midst of the #DettyDecember festivities, Nigerians are gaining access to a wider range of activities. One of the latest entrants to the space is day party franchise, Everyday People which will be hosting its first event in Lagos over the weekend.

Below is a primer of what you should expect at this installation

What is Everyday People?
Everyday People (EP) is a community, an event series, and a cultural platform. Labeled by Vice as “The World’s Coolest Day Party,” EP is a pioneer in bridging the musical, aesthetic, and cultural worlds of the global diaspora into a cohesive celebration of black joy.

When (how often) does it happen?
The 2023 EP calendar had 52 stagings across the globe kicking off the season in New York City in May, with at least 2 events weekly through to December where we close out the season on the Continent.

Where does it happen?
Everywhere but Antarctica! Everyday People has become a global platform held in numerous cities on 4 Continents.

How?
Everyday People serves as a North Star for those seeking to experience music, culture, and community.

Why Lagos?
Coolest party in the coolest city. Lagos is unapologetic and the center for culture. With Nigerians in the diaspora being so instrumental to the growth of EP over the last decade, we’re excited to make our Lagos debut in 2023 in the heart of Victoria Island. Being hosted by Waf. Is also significant to us as we pay homage to the innate style, culture, and ethos of everyday people in Lagos.

What should people expect?
Vibes. Everyone should expect Vibes and Inshallah.
