Nigerian singer-songwriter Fave, a disruptive voice in the scene, has just dropped her latest single, No Games produced by Chef Bxrry and Niphkeys. The song was written during a creative retreat in Uganda, and with its bold lyrics and infectious hooks, No Games makes one thing clear: Fave isn’t here to play. The visual accompanying her release presents FAVE in an entirely new light, showcasing her confidently taking centre stage and commanding attention. It’s been a whirlwind year for the rising star as she skillfully juggles the demands of finishing her Law degree while releasing stand-out singles Belong To You and Controlla in quick succession. Now, she’s ready to step into the spotlight and showcase her new music to the world. Fave’s recent releases explore the complexities of toxic love, drawing deeply from her own experiences and those around her. She delves into relationships’ emotional highs and lows through her music, creating raw and relatable songs that resonate with her growing fanbase.
Fave’s minute-long Twitter videos took the music community in her homeland by storm during the early days of lockdown, marking the birth of a star. As the middle child of three siblings, she has spent the past two decades living in Eastern and South-Western Nigeria, beginning her musical journey at six. Before her internet fame in 2020, Fave was studying and has just completed pursuing a degree in Law. As her songs gained popularity, attending school became increasingly challenging, prompting FAVE to adopt various disguises to blend in.
