On her way to becoming one of Nigerian music’s next big thing, Empawa’s newly signed artiste, Fave releases Baby riddim.
Having started the art of making music in 2018 through her bedroom freestyles that rapidly went viral and caught the attention of industry heavyweight, Mr Eazi, Fave is purposeful on this ground-breaking single. The track is the singer’s successful attempt to defy sounds and show off her inimitable creativity as she fuses sultry Afropop melodies with tropical Caribbean influences.
The hypnotic Damie-produced single is taken from Fave’s forthcoming debut EP Riddim and is a follow up to her previous release Beautifully, and her show-stopping appearance on fan celebrated Olamide’s 10th studio album, UY Scuti.
Commenting on the groundbreaking single, Fave said: “I’m never slacking on a chance to unlock a phase. A chance to birth a sound, a chance to love up on a beat. If it’s calling, i’m answering.” Refusing to be defined or restricted by genre, Fave has been able to showcase her flair for powerful song-writing and modern takes on love songs that will no doubt become anthemic for her peers around the world.
