FG suspends planned national carrier, Nigeria Air

The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika has announced the suspension of the planned national carrier, Nigeria Air.

The minister made the announcement via his Twitter handle, @hadisirika.

The suspension was made because the Economic Management Team (EMT) did not approve it when it launched, it was revealed.

EMT recommendation was that the Nigerian government should not set up a national carrier with public funds.

The EMT is chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
