Aptly titled, Chocolate City artist Yung L releases long awaited album Better Late Than Never (BLTN). Despite the brilliant music projects released earlier this year, BLTN makes it way swiftly to the top of hottest releases for the year 2017.
The 19 track album (including extra’s) features top shots like POE, Sarkodie and R2Bees. Behind the scenes also, (mixing, mastering, producing, executive producing, live guitar) were done by heavyweights like TUC, Chopstix, Syn X, Femi Leye, Jude Abaga and many more. With this line-up, it is only expected that this project achieves greatness.
The entire project features a predominant afrocentric-reggae theme, that one would think monotonous, but the brilliance of Yung L reinvents the sound over and over again. Definitely, with every project, there are those special ones that deserve more than one listen. For me they’re Where You Dey, Nina, Superman, Anya, Gbewa, Migrate, Pinpinida, One Shot. Did I just outline the entire album? Lol. It is that good.
