Then highly anticipated Bandana video is out. When we heard that YBNL’s Fireboy and Asake were going to link up to give us Bandana, we knew right there and then that it was going to be a smash hit and we weren’t wrong. On Bandana, Fireboy and Asake blend gracefully on a track that features Asake’s signature choir style.
For a hot track, the duo summoned the equally hot video director TG Omori to do what he does best and create a visually appealing companion for the hit: which he did. The awesome visuals for Bandana have been released and within a few hours, it has already caused some disruption on social media with fans of both artists and TG commending the effort that went into bringing the song to life. Amidst this current buzz, TG has also decided to give us a glimpse of what went into creating the masterpiece.
The Bandana video is filled with not only amazing sets but more amazing visual effects. With a video like this, the tiny details and intentional storytelling made the 3-minute work of art come together beautifully. The Bandana video is not your regular music video. It’s a visual delight that you won’t be able to get enough of. TG definitely outdid himself again on a body of work that can simply be described a genius.
From what we can gather online, it appears that this shoot was a really expensive one with TG taking to Twitter to shout out Fireboy for “breaking the bank.”
Many rumours have been spread on Twitter about what the badass director charges for a typical video shoot and the main figures going around have been around 8 to 10 million naira. However, TG has dismissed all the rumours and has hinted on multiple occasions that the actual figure is considerably higher despite never revealing what it is.
