When it comes to cardio, we often get quite worn out trying to burn a certain number of calories in a set amount of time. Thirty minutes on the treadmill can be quite boring and we tend to count down the time, rather than count up, which we usually do when going for runs outdoors. The Woodway Curve treadmill, has however, changed the game.

I personally tried out the Woodway Curve a couple days ago at the gym. I was intrigued by the fact that it was an eco-friendly treadmill and when I found out that it burns 30% more calories, I knew that I had to start using it! It was rather difficult to find my balance on it at first, but once I was balanced and started running, I realised that I was burning more calories than I ever had on any other machine in the gym; 450 calories in 10 minutes! The Woodway Curve is powered solely by your legs and therefore you can engage several muscles that you wouldn’t normally engage on the treadmill. With a regular treadmill, you’re not actually working the entire leg because you’re not having to push back to propel yourself forward, so the Woodway Curve is very similar to running outside.

The floor of the Woodway Curve is made of rubber slats, which glide on 112 ball bearings, creating minimal friction. Furthermore, the rubber running surface absorbs the harmful impact shock on your joints and connective tissues, with 80% less pressure going through the joints, reducing the chances of injury. Conventional treadmills are not designed to impact this shock and therefore, there is more pressure on your joints and tissues on a conventional treadmill in comparison to a C-curved treadmill.

Don’t wait till Monday before you try out the Woodway Curve, try one out today and start your weekend off right!
