Flavour Revers Femininity In Aesthetically Pleasing Video For ‘Good Woman’

Lately, musicians have been capitalizing on the growing recognition and acceptance of feminism, and a good number of them have performed their activism through music, sonically and visually. In about two years, the likes of Davido and Tekno and dedicated songs to women, and this month, being women’s month, Flavour nests comfortably in the month-long adulation of women. He shares the video for Good Woman, one of the standouts from his 2020 persona-defining album, Flavour Of Africa.

Flavour knows not to center on feminine wiles but instead works with Dammy Twitch to create an aesthetic that indicates his mood board for this video was filled with pictures of black women and despite its roots in black women suffering, Masterkraft’s springy highlife inspired instrumental coupled with the awe-inspiring scenes that make up the video makes it better than the run-of-the-mill ode to women.

Flavour performs with the knowledge of one who wants to be in tune with his environment and the video for Good Woman is a foundational bare minimum.
