Forbes Woman Africa Honours Oby Ezekwesili, Uche Pedro and Caster Semenya

A set of African women trailblazing various paths in business, sports, science, entertainment, leadership etc were recognized at the just concluded Forbes Woman Africa Award inaugural dinner, a prestigious event held every year in honour of innovative African women. The event took place at Durban’s Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Center on Friday 8 March, which doubles as International Women’s Day.

The award dinner followed a full day of panel session and speeches by New Wealth Creators from across Africa at the fourth annual Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit hosted by the KZN Provincial Government in association with ABSA, the IDC, Women of Africa and supported by Delta Airlines.


Supermodel and Philanthropist Naomi Campbell was the keynote speaker among other global influencers in business, sports, science and entertainment and leadership.

Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji was also a speaker at the event.

Some of the notable women honoured at the annual ceremony are CEO of BellaNaija, Uche Pedro, Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili and South African Athlete Caster Semenya.
