Ikuku and leading nightlife platform The Guestlist Party are set to expand their global footprint with a highly anticipated debut in Kenya, marking a major moment for African nightlife culture. Following a run of successful showcases across Abuja, Cape Town, and Lagos, the collaboration now turns its focus to East Africa — bringing together some of the most influential forces shaping the sound and social experience of the continent.
For this Nairobi edition, The Guestlist Party joins forces with House of Yanos, the Middle East’s foremost Amapiano collective, in a partnership that underscores the genre’s continued global ascent. The event represents a convergence of West African, Southern African, and Middle Eastern nightlife ecosystems, united by a shared commitment to sound, community, and elevated party culture.
Headlining the night is Freddy K, the South African producer and DJ revered for his “Private School Amapiano” sound — an approach that has helped define the genre’s evolution and cement its place on international dance floors. He is joined by DJ Chukky, an international tastemaker whose genre-fluid sets have earned him recognition across global club circuits.
Also on the lineup is SSSoundgawd, affectionately known as “Mr Aura Salad Himself,” bringing his signature energy and sonic seasoning to the decks. Anchoring the experience is the full House of Yanos Sound System, curating a seamless blend of Amapiano, Afrobeats, and global club rhythms designed for peak nightlife immersion.
Adding to the night’s significance, Nigerian nightlife heavyweight Yhemolee is confirmed as a special guest. A central figure in Lagos’ social and entertainment scene, Yhemolee’s appearance further solidifies the event’s status as a cultural moment rather than just a party.
Speaking on the expansion, the Guestlist team notes that the brand has always been driven by community and movement. After witnessing the energy and resonance of previous editions across Africa, Kenya emerged as a natural next destination — particularly in collaboration with House of Yanos, whose influence continues to stretch across borders.
As African nightlife becomes increasingly interconnected, this Nairobi showcase stands as a testament to what’s possible when scenes collide and sounds travel freely.
Event details, including ticketing, venue information, and VIP reservations, will be announced via @theguestlist_party on Instagram.
