With influences spanning the likes of Fela Kuti, Ebenezer Obey, and other industry greats, New York-based Nigerian singer, Gbayi, has been able to create an Afro-fusion sound, unique and tuneful enough to afford him premium affiliations and a sizable fanbase. In fulfillment of a life-long dream to be a music star, he guns for mainstream relevance this month on Indian Girl, the lead single off forthcoming, Lost In Lust.

Exerting his diverse influences, he picks at his heart to deliver a rhythmic romantic piece with the right elements to spur attention. According to him, Indian Girl is inspired by an old melodious hook he had created a while back. “After hearing the unique beat, I was able to come up with a romantic and fun rhythm for lovers to relate and vibe to. I knew it would be something we could have fun with, especially when listening to that one person who caught your attention on the dance floor.”
