Giftty showed all the signs of an emerging Afrobeats superstar when he made his debut with the Mr Eazi-assisted Lori Okada in 2017. He went on to make one of the most remarkable debut runs of the period with collaborations with artists like Yung L, Dammy Krane, Yung L and Ceeza Milli. A label dispute suddenly stunted his rise to stardom after undefined disputes led to the collapse of the structure of his old label, run by ace producer, D’Tunes.

Giftty, who faded into oblivion afterwards, made a brief return in 2020 with a track titled Enjoy Myself featuring Asake, Ashidapo and Shorae. This year, he is back with a new single called Dream. On the Ucee-produced bop, Giftty expresses his optimism for the future and hopes that the song serves as an inspiration for all dreamers all around the world. The singer extends praises to God, as he charts a new course for his career.
