After a three-year hiatus since the release of his first EP, RetroFlex, British-Nigerian rapper GJtheCaesar is back with a new song called Esco (N.I.B). Collaborating with Nigerian alternative singer/songwriter Ayüü, alongside Abuja-based drill rapper Tomi Obanure, this track highlights a blend of talents and creativity, making it an impressive collaboration.

Esco (N.I.B) syncs elements of hip-hop, dancehall, and rap over a well-layered, vibrant upbeat sound produced by Shwoff. The song starts off with a flawless tempo and goes on to reflect the synergy between the different genres the artists explore.

The well-delivered vocals convey a contagious energy that radiates through the three artists, maintaining an upbeat vibe without overpowering the sound. The track’s lyrics reference the hustle culture and their journey to creating a path without a blueprint—a narrative that suits the experiences of the trio in fusion and alternative music.

The collaboration is a strong comeback from GJtheCaesar’s hiatus, highlighting his artistic growth, and the choice of collaborators is impressive as well.
