Following the success of Glenfiddich’s Experimental Night Concert in Lagos, the world’s most-awarded single malt whisky has replicated the success of the Experimental Night Concert in Abuja ushering in an evening of musical brilliance, whisky indulgence, and limitless entertainment to the capital city.
Held on Saturday, November 11th at the THISDAY Dome, the event drew a diverse assembly of music enthusiasts, whisky connoisseurs, and lovers of pure enjoyment enjoying the fusion of culture, creativity, and melody Glenfiddich created.
The event was opened by the legendary R&B and pop trio Styl Plus with a fantastic performance, playing timeless hits that sparked a frenzy of enthusiastic applause.
With Efik Zara, Ypick, and DJs Burna & Gigi Jasmine crafting melodies, rhythms, and tunes that continue to linger in the memory of attendees, the Experimental Night evolved into a soulful voyage. At the event, Bella Shmurda paid tribute to his late friend Mohbad while enthralling everyone with mesmerizing performances of classics, sending the guests on a lovely trip down memory lane.
Crooning tunes from his popular songs, Amorawa and You Bad, Wande Coal, a trailblazer in contemporary Nigerian music, then took the stage and filled the stage with transcendent rhythms and nostalgic songs that had everyone gyrating to the tunes.
The event, a part of Glenfiddich’s ongoing ‘To Bold Futures’ Campaign celebrates Afrofuturism by paying homage to Africa’s rich musical and cultural heritage and exploring the exciting possibilities ahead. At the event, guests had the opportunity to experience the Limited Edition Collection of Glenfiddich 12YO, 15YO, and 18YO designed by Mavericks, Nancy Isime, M.I., and Mr Eazi.
The highlight of the evening was the Fantasy Box’s artistic ability through captivating aerial, flying pole, led lollipop, and mirror ball acts which caught the attention of the guests
Internationally renowned band, The Compozers brought the evening to a spectacular close with a perfect and dynamic performance that sparked powerful emotional connections with the enthusiastic audience.
The inaugural Glenfiddich Experimental Night in Abuja set a new benchmark for spectacular entertainment which featured an entrancing blend of soulful tunes, cultural celebrations, and the opulent history of Glenfiddich appropriate only for the “Centre of Unity.”
