In what seems to have been a daunting year across the globe, especially Africa with occurrences such as the Covid-19 pandemic, #ENDSars police brutality in Nigeria, political and tribal unrest in Ethiopia, unstable presidential elections in Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana, the Uganda unrest, etc, a shift towards the positives will see the world applauding enterprising women of innovation and perseverance.
The 2020 U.S. election was historical for many reasons, but for Kamala Harris in particular. She becomes the first woman, the first Black, and the first Asian American vice president. For many, Harris has become not just a role model, but an affirmation of the power and place of women and people of colour.
