In the past year, many producers including GMK, Maleek Berry and Juls have made the jump from only having a hand in the engineering of the music to actually lacing their beats with their vocals. For the most part, the success has been overwhelming and the argument is that due to a superior understanding of music from those who are artists alone, artist-producers can better engineer their sound and bring to life what some may have as just ideas. On OTB, the first single off his upcoming body of work, GMK continues to prove he has what it takes on both fronts.
On the single, the Monster Boy is armed with vocals from Odunsi and the delivery is as laidback as possibly while the drum laden beat will have most unknowingly bopping their heads.
