Bringing in the New Year with an explosive hit, four time Grammy nominated artist, singer and composer Kel-P bursts onto the scene with his first single, One More Night. Best known for honing the role of one of the biggest Nigerian producers in the space, thanks to his work with Burna Boy, Skip Marley, Rema, Adekunle Gold, Wizkid and more, this exciting new single marks the beginning of a fruitful new direction for him.

On One More Night, which is his very first solo single release, Kel-P delivers an infectious treat, drawing inspiration from 2002 hit single Dilemma by Nelly & Kelly Rowland. With a uniquely distinctive sample throughout before layering with Afro fusion sounds, Kel-P joins forces with producer KDAGREAT to rework the track, creating a simmering island-ready groove to give listeners a snapshot of what’s next to come.

Drawing fans in with the catchy hook, “How ‘bout we do this one more night?”, Kel-P touches on the inspiration behind the track as he says, “As soon as I heard the original sample, I started recording on the beat ASAP.” He continues by saying, “I was so inspired. I played it for a couple of girls, and they said it was fire, so I finished it. To me, it felt fresh. Everyone can dance to it, because it’s dope, beautiful, and unique.”

Teasing the upcoming project, Kel-P goes on to express, “I’m the same guy, but you might not know this side of me yet,” he leaves off. “It’s always been who I am though. This is just a different approach. I don’t want you to only listen, sing, and vibe; I want you to dance.”

Kel-P began singing at a young age before composing beats and melodies in 2016. Further down the line In 2017, his work started taking off with Eleganza by Solidstar becoming his first major production. Kel-P then went on to produce songs for Skip Marley, Future, Wizkid, Rema as well as featuring on nine tracks on Burna Boy’s Grammy nominated album African Giant in 2019, with production credits on singles On The Low, Gbona, Killin Dem and Pull Up.

At just 26 years old, Kel-P has earned 4 Grammy nominations within the past 3 years and his first Grammy was for his contribution to Angelique Kidjo’s 2022 studio album Mother Nature. With over 19,300k+ monthly streams across Spotify and early mentions from the key tastemaker titles including Culture Custodian, Revolt TV, OkayAfrica and more, Kel-P is kicking off his riveting journey as an artist with One More Night, making him one to watch for 2023.
