Guchi has returned with another single I Swear featuring Afrobeats hit maker, Yemi Alade and it’s available on all streaming platforms.
On this mellifluous track, Guchi and Yemi Alade shower encomium on their significant others. I Swear incites groove and reflection. ChechDaProducer’s composition subtly lures you to the dancefloor but the lyrics could evoke an entirely different response. In one verse, Guchi admits to being hopelessly in love and in the other, Yemi Alade begs for the longevity of her lover’s commitment. Long before the music materialized, listeners continued to liken the style of both singers. I Swear satisfies the demand for their collaboration, while honouring the crucial roles both women play in the industry.
The latest single is projected to steal the spotlight from Speedometer; Guchi’s summer smash that drove thousands of dance challenges on social media. Speedometer also attracted an Amapiano remix from production maestro Masterkraft. For Nigeria’s independence, Guchi partnered with Apple Music for its ‘Oshe Naija’ initiative, curating a personal playlist featuring sounds from various Nigerian heavyweights that span across different timelines.
Ushering in Guchi’s hotly anticipated body of work which features Ladipoe, Duktor Sett, Shy Boy and Soundboy, I Swear is the second official single after Shattered. This will be the PG entertainment signee’s second compilation since she debuted with I Am Guchi in 2020.
