Since the release of Purple Diary, her second E.P. that produced hits like I Swear featuring Yemi Alade and Taken Over featuring Ladipoe, Guchi has been busy with milestone activities. These include opening for Wizkid’s 2022 edition of “Vibes on the Beach” concert and becoming one of the faces of popular accessories brand- Oraimo’s Explore campaign. She also recently hit the 50-million-view mark on the video of her hit single Jennifer and in excess of 100,000 million in total career views on YouTube.
As she continues to rise in status, Guchi pauses to reflect on the internal dilemma that comes with the mounting pressure. “I’m just a girl with melodies but the pressure is bothering me, making me want to lose my sanity,” implies the singer in the opening minute. She remains convinced of her purpose as an entertainer and is praying for guidance to deal with the obstacles as they come.
