To follow her Headies Rookie of the Year win, Teni takes advantage of the window to release music.

Teni dropped the songs yesterday. Lagos is a downbeat Highlife ish inspired ode to the city she calls home. She riffs on the Eko O Ni Baje theme we’ve come to associate with the political class and namechecks some of the things she thinks make Lagos tick.

The second track Askamaya as produced by Spellz is a more upbeat number where she expresses herself in parts with the cadence of a rapper.
