On January, Nigerian-born, US-based artist Hermez’s latest single, which is premiering on Culture Custodian today, we hear a signature afro soul offering that sits squarely in an intersection very few artists can thrive in.
The track produced by DOZ and Le Mav features a beat-laden with guitars and drums, vocals that reflect a self-assured and confident Hermez reaffirming himself as he delivers a message that should inspire everyone to put themselves first.
Speaking to Culture Custodian ahead of the release of the track, Hermez tells us of the frame of mind he was in when he created the track saying, “life is actually better when we really look at it and ignore the made up anxieties in our heads.”
