Hero Lager Pays a Tribute to Southern Nigeria With “Worthy”

Music is a unifier, and it has bridged gaps between people and culture for many years. Hero Lager beer, understanding this has created a unifying musical experience with the album, Worthy

In line with the brand’s identity to promote and recognize unsung heroes,  the album highlights the work of some OGs and newbies in the Nigerian music industry. 

The 12-track album captures the essence of rich southern and Eastern Nigerians and the artists embodied this in the individual tracks. With features from Rudeboy, DanDizzy, Acetune, and the brand’s ambassadors Jeriq and Kolaboy, amongst other talents, it’s  hard to miss how the indigenous cultural elements sync with the diversity of artists’ sound. 

Alongside the artists, the Hero Lager team collaborated with a crop of talented producers including MajorBangz, who produced Wait, Sure Banker, Awawa and 5 & 6, Skitter who produced Hit, Sogbulemma, UruDia and Worthy. Sure odd, Chop Chop and Kosa were produced by Barmy Aje and Osimiri was produced by KezyKlef. 

The project was curated by ace rapper Illbliss, who has always wanted to pay an homage to his roots. Worthy, promises to be an immersive transcultural musical experience.
