Imoh Umoren’s ‘Dear Bayo’ now streaming on Amazon Prime Video

Children of Mud director Imoh Umoren was a busy man in 2019. The director worked on four films: The Herbert Macaulay Affair, Lagos: Sex, Lies and Traffic, The Coffins Salesman, and Dear Bayo, which is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

The film follows National Youth Service Corp member Bayo and a girl he meets (and falls in love with) in his place of assignment. The young couple has to overcome the difficulties in their personal lives to be together.

Dear Bayo is shot entirely in the Niger Delta region, which formed the backdrop for Umoren’s Africa Magic series Oghenekome. The screenplay is credited to Michael Douchi Oduocha.

The movie stars Chimezie Imo and Tunbosun Aiyedehin in lead roles. Watch the trailer below.
