Victor AD, the Nigerian singer and songwriter best known for Wetin We Gain, taps Bella Shmurda for a new single Eye Clear in what is a fairly unlikely collaborative pairing. Eye Clear is the lead single from the former’s forthcoming album Realness Over Hype, serving as a motivational anthem of sorts designed to offer relief to listeners as they overcome challenges while profering gratitude for their blessings.
The song pays homage to Ajegunle Legends Baba Fryo and Oritse Femi as Victor AD references them saying “Tell dem say, our eye don clear, tell dem say, our eye don open” and “They go denge, denge pose”. This adds a nostalgic touch to the Napji produced track, acknowledging the influences that paved the way for the artists.
