There are few things Nigerians instinctively know how to turn into a good time: food, music and being around other people. On Saturday September 12, Abuja became the first stop of Indomie Palooza 2026, a nationwide tour built around the theme “Where Moments Meet Fun.” It felt less like a conventional brand event, and more like a meeting point to have fun and celebrate together.
Delicious Indomie combos were a major part of the experience. Indomie lovers got to discover familiar Indomie in exciting new ways, with unique combinations including Indomie Chicken Pepper Soup, Indomie Asun, Indomie & Nkwobi, Indomie Africana and Indomie Gizdodo. The food experience added another layer of fun to the day, giving consumers new ways to enjoy a familiar favourite.
Musicians Boy Skido, Ice Prince, and Spyro shifted the atmosphere into live entertainment, with the crowd singing, dancing and joining in on the action. Ice Prince brought Nigerian hip-hop nostalgia, Spyro connected with a younger Afrobeats audience, while Boy Skido added another dimension to the lineup.
Away from the stage, games, dance competitions, giveaways and interactive activities kept people moving. The result was not simply an audience watching a programme; people became part of the atmosphere.
Indomie already exists within everyday Nigerian rituals, after school meals, family gatherings, late-night cravings, and neighbourhood food spots.
Palooza takes those familiar moments and places them within a larger cultural setting where food, music, entertainment, and community naturally intersect.
Abuja was only the opening chapter. The tour moves to Port Harcourt on September 19, Ibadan on September 26, before a two-day Lagos finale on October 3-4, marking World Indomie Day.
Each city brings its own sound, character, and social rhythm. If Abuja is anything to go by, the most interesting part of Palooza may be what happens where moments meet fun, and where a familiar everyday moment becomes something worth gathering around.
