Life has a funny way it works. You think you’re over that ex and then you see one of her tweets, if you’re mature enough not to have blocked her. Or sometimes, its even more brash as they send you a text or call you which could be the move that sends you back into a warp of emotions you’d learnt to overcome. British based afrobeat singer, Nkiru’s Jeje draws inspiration from the ways life tries to kick you as you recover.

Nkiru reminisces pouring her heart out for a lover whose reaction at the time varied. Today however, the tables have turned and while he longs for her and desires her loves, she’s far gone and has moved on to better things.
