JerzeySon, real name Uche Christian is a Nigerian born and American based independent singer. Before his foray into music, JerzeySon tried his hands on poetry, a craft he picked up from his early days as a literary star.
Growing up on the likes of Nat King Cole, Sonny Okuson, Fela, Sade, to name a few, JerzeySon’s music is mostly influenced by West African music and Hip hop culture. He describes his sound as Afrofusion, incorporating elements of Afrobeat, Afro Swing, and Hip Hop to create his unique blend. He released his debut EP, Native Son, a seven-track project in 2020, and now, he returns to reinforce his presence on Callin‘.
On Callin’, JerzeySon channels his poetic prowess and versatile artistry to deliver a somber yet bubbly tune centered on memories shared with someone he shares a thing with.
