Last week Jidenna returned after 2 years with 2 singles; both of which serve as preludes to his coming project and a trailer to announce the album. While both singles; Sufi Woman and Tribe point to evolution, the just-released Allie Avital directed video for the latter indicates a decision to retain and preserve his creative style and energy.
Jidenna literally opens the door to the dramatic dance fest and draws us into several party scenes that speak to the track’s trap-inspired narrative. In the video, he stays true to his nature, jovially but sensually and seriously revealing different personalities and aspects of his artistry.
