Multi-Grammy and Oscar awards winner Jon Batiste has released Drink Water, a new single off his forthcoming album World Music Radio expected on August 18th through Verve/Interscope. In this summer anthem, the singer collaborates with American co-executive producer Jon Bellion and Afrobeats star Fireboy DML.
On Drink Water, the musical triumvirate tells the audience to “take a deep breath, drink water” when faced with the vicissitudes of life. According to Batiste, “traveling with my wife, leaning into the culturally diverse group of friends and family that make up my inner circle birthed the foundations for what is now World Music Radio – much of which was recorded in transit, hotel rooms, basements and on smartphones either abroad or near big bodies of water.”
Drink Water comes after the announcement of World Music Radio with lead single Calling Your Name which amassed crucial acclaim. In celebration of his album release on August 18th, Batiste will grace the TODAY Show Summer Concert Series. As fans anticipate the release, Batiste’s single Drink Water is readily available to whet sonic appetites.
