A bad job has been done in the documentation of Nigerian history. Lawyer and Historian, Olasupo Shasore teamed up with an army of researchers and is seeking to correct this with his documentary, Journey of an African Colony; The Making of Nigeria.
The 7 part series seeks to debunk certain myths about our history and tell the stories of the real heroes of Nigeria and consequently, signal a change in our understanding of Nigeria and the African continent.

Shasore is a former Lagos state Attorney General and currently works as Partner at the African Law Practice– he is the author of two books on Nigerian history—Platter of Gold and Possessed. The documentary is an adaptation of the books.
