Nigerian singer and Neville Records signee, Khaid has released cinematic visuals for his latest single, Jolie. The single is the artiste’s first studio release for the year 2023.
Jolie documents the story of unrequited love from the artiste’s beloved, and his willingness to wait till she reciprocates his love. The single extols the lover’s attractive features and beauty, and the newly released visuals does extremely well to punctuate the single’s message.
“So me say over, over/ My body ah wait for you for corner/ Dey for my life you no get asunder/Any man ponder I fire am thunder,” Khaid reiterates to his lover, Jolie, in the newly released single.
Directed by label boss and comedian, Sydney Talker, the single is Khaid’s 4th career single release, and his 2nd single release after his EP, Diversity, was released last year. Born Sulaimon Shekoni Abiola, Khaid is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Nigeria who came into the limelight after being signed to Neville Records, owned by social media influencer and comedian, Sydney Talker.
Khaid shone into limelight with his debut single With You. Late last year, the artiste secured a collaboration with label boss and superstar, Zlatan and Grammy award-winning producer, Rexxie in raunchy single, Amala. The artiste’s latest release, Jolie, currently sits at No 7 on the Apple Music and Turntable Top 100 Nigeria charts.
