Nigeria’s Hip-hop scene has witnessed an influx of new schoolers in recent times. Of the myriad of young MCs springing up, Kiienka, famous for his musical dexterity which spreads his skills and talent across sound engineering and rapping, is making his way to the fore, not only because of his reach on different aspects of music but mostly because of his dogged flow and refined taste for topnotch sounds. Following the release of the well-received first version of his Spaceman project, he returns with his deft narrative in new speaker bumping and playlist owning tracks that comprise an eight-track body of work that serves as the second installment of the Spaceman series, aptly titled Spaceman 2.0.
An extended but refined and evolved version of Spaceman, the project is a mood-inducing description of various narratives that include but are not limited to Kiienka’s life choices, his come up, and relationships among others.
Featuring fellow industry rookies who are seriously staking their claim on music royalty including Psycho YP and Libianca, who lace their smooth flows and soothing vocals on some tracks off the project, Kiienka reminds us why he’s on everyone’s radar with general performance, as noteworthy as the chosen instrumentals on Spaceman 2.0.
