Kiss Daniel Gives Sofa Video Treatment

Kiss Daniel has always been a dark horse. Back in 2015 when he was nominated alongside Reekado Banks, Lil Kesh, Korede Bello and Cynthia Morgan for the Next Rated Award at the Headies, he and Morgan remained outside the conversation on who was worthy of the award but with the added benefit of retrospect, he may be a shoe in for leader of the pack today alongside Reekado Banks. Since the release of his debut album, New Era, last year, Daniel has retreated into the shadow while conversation about his unhappiness as a result of his record deal has taken over. One thing is for sure, he’s still got it and he shows us on his new single, Sofa.

Sofa opens sounding exactly like Gyptian’s Hold Yuh but but soon shifts with the help of arpeggiated synths in the background. The Caribbean induced beat accompanied by the dominant chords I, IV, V and VI make this song suitable for any occasion. Kiss Daniel shows that regardless of how long he sits on the sidelines, he can deliver when he chooses. The video which is directed by Clarence Peters features stellar post-production work.
