Ladipoe and Fireboy Assisted ‘Running’ is a Prompt Reminder To Keep Pushing

Ladipoe is one rap artiste whose growth has inspired many young Nigerian rappers. From spending his college days developing his rap potentials to appearing in Show Dem Camp’s Clone Wars, Vol. 1 in 2010, becoming the first rap artist to be signed by Mavins, and the release of the much-acclaimed Buju assisted Feeling which peaked at number one on the Turntable Top 50 Chart, Ladipoe has steadily established himself as one of the most prominent artists around. To further establish his ground, he releases a hot new single, Running featuring Fireboy DML ahead of his much-anticipated EP set to drop in November 2021. This could be viewed as serious play for the charts in the last quarter of the year.

Produced by Andre Vibez, the song features  a buzzing bassline, and glistening keys, setting a feel-good backdrop for both artists to reflect their honesty and emotions profoundly. Complementing him is Fireboy, whose Peru is currently tearing up the charts, offering some melody while Poe’s bars serve as a sobering reflection on the current state of things in the country.
