More than a year since his last release Big Energy in 2022, Ladipoe has returned with an explosive new single titled Guy Man alongside Bella Shmurda. Prior to the release of the song, the artist had been teasing his return using entertaining skit in collaboration with comedian Layi Wasabi and a protest from fans demanding new music. Although this is Ladipoe’s first release in a while, he has appeared on Oladapo’s E No Fit Be Me, Eugy’s Medicine and the Mavin’s Chapter X album.
Ladipoe and Bella Shmurda deliver a sonically impressive track, where Ladipoe’s steady rap blends with Bella Shmurda’s edginess as they belt self assured lyrics. Guy Man starts with an unassuming beat that drops after Ladipoe’s famous tagline “but you knew that” and retains a high energy from beginning to the end. Bella Shmurda’s verse carries smoothly from where Ladipoe’s end, then he continues with a soaring tempo on the chorus. The invigorating track is produced by Reward Beatz and Ladipoe and it is accompanied by a lyric video.
Ladipoe’s Guy Man is an exciting return for the artist who has also assured fans of more music, and possibly an album this year.
